Manage Food Library: Rename Foods and Control Status

Manage Food Library: Rename Foods and Control Status

The Food Library stores all reusable food items.

To access it:

  1. Click the More menu.

  2. Select Manage Food Library.

Rename a Food (Global Change)

  1. Search for the food.

  2. Update the name.

  3. Click Update Food Name.

Important

Renaming a food:

  • Updates all past and future menus.

  • Does NOT override day-specific “Served as” entries.

If you need a one-day change only, use an override instead.

Active vs Archived

Each food can be:

  • Active — appears in search and can be added to menus.

  • Archived — hidden from new menus but remains in past records.

Archiving is useful for:

  • Seasonal items

  • Foods no longer served

  • Cleaning up duplicates
